                        Annual Academic Symposium

The Department of Economics and Decision Science at CEIBS holds its annual academic symposium (with an alternating focus on economics and decision science each year) to facilitate the intellectual exchange of new ideas about economic and business challenges in China and around the world. For more information about our next symposium, please contact our department secretary Coco Shi at scoco@ceibs.edu.

CEIBS’ Annual Finance/Accounting Symposium provides an opportunity for scholars from around the world to gather and discuss leading research in the fields of finance and accounting. Each year we choose a contemporary theme, and select papers with significant implications for managers and policymakers. Many of these papers also employ cutting edge methodology of considerable interest to academic researchers.

The symposium typically consists of 6-7 papers selected from over 100 submissions. A highly qualified discussant is assigned to each paper, and the programme allows for plenty of Q&A throughout. During lunch and dinner, conference participants also have the opportunity to engage on a more informal basis. In this way, the symposium series helps strengthen ties between CEIBS faculty and our international colleagues, and between the participants themselves.

For more information about our next symposium, please contact our department secretary Carol Zhao at zcarol2@ceibs.edu.

The Marketing Department Annual Symposium serves as a forum for academic scholars to share cutting-edge research that have high implications to both theory and business practice. The symposium will feature presentations by leading scholars from various fields of marketing research, including analytical modeling, empirical modeling, and consumer behavior research.?For more information about our next symposium, please contact our department secretary Karen Qian at qkaren@ceibs.edu.

The CEIBS OB/HR Symposium is a forum for academics to discuss their most recent research on organisational behaviour and human resource management-related topics such as leadership, creativity, proactivity, and strategic human resource management.

Presenters are individuals who are on the cutting-edge of research in our field and whose work represents creative and high-quality scholarship. We strive to keep the conference numbers small and to provide an intimate setting to foster collaborative ties and a supportive atmosphere.?

For more information about our next symposium, please contact our department secretary Grace Chen?at cgrace2@ceibs.edu.
